Cassandra Wright – lead vocals Cassandra is a native of Winston-Salem, NC, and has been passionate about singing since she was 5 years old. At 12, She performed at her first wedding, marking the start of her musical career. She recognizes her singing talent as a divine gift and has used it to serve her community performing at weddings, funerals, churches, community events and stage plays. Cassandra’s musical tastes span across genres, from R&B, soul, pop, rock and blues. She cites legendary artists like Anita Baker, Aretha Franklin, Sade, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder and Madonna as key influences in shaping her diverse musical style. She has performed at prestigious local events such as Diggs Memorial Community Day, 8th Annual Veterans Outreach, Christmas For The City, Richard Smiley Cancer Benefit Triathlon, and the Cheerwine Festival, and previously was a vocalist with Black and Blue. |

Sal Burnette – bass and vocals Sal's interest in music began early, learning piano and playing in the high school band and orchestra. Eventually, she discovered the bass guitar and the rest, as they say, is history. Sal has worked with a variety of bands, including Lee and Susan Terry, Wafer Thin, and the all-female group, Harlot’s Web. Blending the power and technique of rock legends like Geddy Lee with the groove of R&B/funk luminaries like Verdine White, James Jamerson and Larry Graham, Sal provides the foundation for Moxie’s funky, danceable sound. She lives in Kernersville, NC. |

Tim Bailey – drums Tim began playing drums in grade school. Since the early 90’s he has performed with a variety of local groups throughout the Triad and southeast playing a range of musical styles from top 40 and R&B to jazz, reggae and gospel. His musical influences lean heavily towards jazz but include icons from all areas of the music world. He’s a graphic designer by profession but playing drums and making music is probably his favorite creative outlet. Tim also teaches drum lessons from his home and is always accepting new students to share his musical approach to the instrument. He is a native of Winston-Salem, NC, and still resides there. |

Grant Blair – guitar and vocals
Grant Started playing in bars at the tender age of 15. He was a Classical Guitar Major at the UNC School of the Arts and Studied Jazz and Arranging at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Grant has toured extensively throughout the East Coast (Delaware to Louisiana) playing night clubs and concert halls as well as opening for national acts such as Cheap Trick, Humble Pie, Head East, Sea Level and Lyle Lovett to name a few. He did a short stint as a backup singer in the 1980’s with Warner Bros Recording Artists Farrenheit as well as various bands and studio work in NYC, and can be seen on PBS playing with a full orchestra in “A Christmas Carol – The Concert” which was filmed in Chicago in front of a live audience. Grant lives in Clemmons, NC. |

Mike Howard – keyboards and vocals
Mike has been gigging ever since joining his first working rock band while in high school, holding down the keyboards for a wide variety of musical genres. But the classic songs of 60s and 70s rock and R&B remain his favorite music to play, influenced by keyboard heroes like Booker T. Jones, Chester Thompson, Steve Winwood and Felix Cavaliere. Mike was a founding member of the horn-driven rock & soul band, Big Planet Soul, opening shows for classic-era recording artists including The Temptations, The Spinners, The Stylistics, and Martha Reeves & the Vandellas. He now brings his arranging talents and performance experience as a founding member and band leader of Moxie. Mike resides in Greensboro, NC. |

Mark Motlow – keyboards and vocals Mark is the other part of Moxie’s dual-keyboard battery. His keyboard work enables the music to go from silky and soulful to raw and funky. He joined his first band at the tender age of 12, and his playing over the years has been shaped by early influences that include Elvis, the Beatles, the Rascals, and Steely Dan. No surprise, then, that classic rock and r&b are still his favorite genres to play. Mark played in bands in the Davidson County area for 30 years before joining Moxie, and that experience shows in the tasteful playing he brings to the band. Mark lives in Lexington, NC. |

Bryce Worthy – sax and vocals
Bryce has been playing the saxophone for over 25 years, bringing soulful expression and smooth, heartfelt melodies to every note. For Bryce, music is more than a craft—it’s his love language, a way to connect, uplift, and move hearts through the power of sound. As a young musician, he won the prestigious Louis Armstrong Jazz Award and has continued an upward trajectory from there. He has performed all along the East Coast, from North Carolina to New York. He’s toured with gospel choirs, contributed to studio projects, and now brings his artistry to Moxie. With roots spanning gospel, pop, funk, R&B, and soul, he thrives on creating musical experiences where people can have fun, let loose, and vibe out. Bryce lives in Greensboro, NC. |
